Outline of cover

This cover is available to Clubs and similar unincorporated institutions and commercial Swim Schools whether or not all of the people involved have full membership of the Swimming Teachers’ Association Ltd. It is not intended as a substitute for individual full membership of the Association for those engaged in teaching and related activities.

The full wording can be supplied upon request, but a brief summary of some important points of the cover follows, together with the insurer’s summary. Ault Insurance Brokers is an independent Insurance Broker and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). The FSA reference number is 311468. The Insurer (except where otherwise noted) is the Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance PLC (No.93792), registered in England & Wales at St. Mark’s Court, Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex RH12 1XL. Authorised and regulated by the FSA.

The scheme is flexible, and enables a Club or School to tailor the cover to its own requirements. The Employers Liability section complies with the Employers Liability Act whilst Public Liability Cover has limits up to £10,000,000 available to comply with most Local Authority requirements, over £5,000,000 is at an extra premium. The material damage sections cater for business equipment and office contents. The Personal Accident section is to provide cover for officials for injuries during normal activities. Legal Expenses provides for Legal Fees for a wide variety of contingencies, together with a 24/7 helpline.

Public and Employers Liability covers are mandatory. The other sections are optional, although Legal Expenses cover is strongly recommended.

Premiums

There is a 15% discount available where the Club or School has obtained the STAmark. This will be allowed from the inception or renewal premium next following the award of the STAmark. This will continue for subsequent years unless the STAmark is revoked.

Insurance Premium Tax is charged on the total premium at the current rate. At present this is 6%, but is subject to change in any Government Budget.

A Policy Fee of £30.00 and an FSA compliance fee of £15.00 are charged.

Cheques should be made payable to “Ault Insurance Brokers” and accompany the customer information form. Credit/Debit card and BACS payments can also be accepted.
